General Information

Camera Club (Kameraseura ry.) is a Helsinki based association for photography enthusiasts. It has over 1.300 members and is the largest camera club in Finland.

Apart from monthly gatherings, the members also have activities within its more specialised sub-clubs. Natura, Technical evening, Feeling photographers, Youngsters, Exhibition photographers, Study Club, Persona, Theme evening having their own monthly meetings in Finnish. Since January 2008 we have also offered activities on photography in English to our members. These meetings are always held on the first Wednesday of the month at 18.00.

Members can test their skills in competitions which are held at the monthly meetings on Natura and Theme evenings. More advanced photographers have the possibility of exhibiting in international photography exhibitions through the Camera Club.

The Club organises versatile study opportunities for its members. They are announced in the members’ newsletter Camera Club Member News (Kameraseuran uutiset).

The members also have access to an extensive library, B/W laboratory, digital laboratory, and a studio.

The Club publishes as well Camera Magazine (Kameralehti) which is included in the membership fee.
